This Privacy Policy explains what information Rivera’s Landscape NTX LLC, operating as Rivera’s Landscape (“we,” “us”), collects through this website and when you do business with us, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you request a quote. The quote form asks for:
- the services you’re interested in
- your name (optional)
- your phone number
- your street address or ZIP code
- your email address (optional)
- a message about the job (optional)
- whether you’d prefer a call or a text
The form also records which page you sent it from. It includes a simple spam check (a hidden field and how long the form took to fill in), which we use only to filter out bots and don’t keep.
When you call, text or email us. We receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
When you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card or bank details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We receive limited details from Stripe, such as your name, the amount paid and the last four digits of your card. Stripe’s handling of your information is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
When you browse the website. See “Analytics” below. Like most websites, our hosting and form services keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your quote request, schedule and provide service, send invoices and receipts, and keep business records. We also use it to keep the website and quote form working and free of spam.
Calls and texts
We only call or text you to respond to your request and to schedule, provide or bill for service. We won’t send you marketing texts unless you’ve agreed to receive them. If you’d rather we didn’t text you, just tell us.
Where it’s stored
Quote requests are stored on Amazon Web Services (Amazon DynamoDB, encrypted at rest) and emailed to our business inbox using Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES). That email passes through our email forwarding service and is kept in our Google (Gmail) inbox. We keep quote and customer information for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide service, and keep the business and tax records we’re required to keep. After that, we delete it.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. We may also use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. Both are cookieless: they don’t set cookies, don’t build a profile of you and don’t track you across other websites.
This website doesn’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Your browser remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme, but that setting stays on your device and isn’t sent to us.
Sharing
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We only share it with the service providers that help us run the business, such as Amazon Web Services (hosting, database and email sending), our email providers (an email forwarding service and Google Gmail), Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (analytics), and only so they can provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Children
This website and our services are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we have about you. Contact us using the details below. We may need to keep some records, such as invoices, where the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
